I have created a new connection
The application on the phone and in the cabinet shows that everything is connected successfully.
However, the proxy does not work
Wi-Fi is disabled
The plan is free
Hello @EvilBabayka ,
We’re sorry to hear that you’re facing issues with your proxy, we’ve recently updated our app to improve stability and reliability.
We suggest updating the app from the Google Play Store and re-connecting. Let us know how it goes, we’re here to help!
Thank you for your reply.
But still the proxy doesn’t work.
Hey @EvilBabayka,
We’re sorry to hear that,
We took a closer look at your account and we can see that the host is disconnected. Could you please ensure all permissions are granted to the app and all status indicators are green?
You can check this by clicking on the menu icon on the top-left and top-right cornerns of the app.
Hello @EvilBabayka,
Sorry for the delay in response, we got the Android team investigating this issue right now, Can you let me know what tools are you using to connect to the proxy?
Hi
I use different tools:
anti-detection browsers
online services, for example https://testmyproxies.com/
to check, I enter a string like
[REDACTED]
Hello @EvilBabayka, it seems that the connection might be restricted by your mobile provider or local network due to country-specific restrictions.
Would you be able to try using a VPN directly on the phone to see if that helps bypass the restriction?
Let us know what works best for you!
Hi, I doubt that’s the reason, solutions from other developers work without problems.
Nevertheless, I am ready to try
But I don’t understand what “VPN directly on the phone” means. If I turn on Outline, the Proxydize app crashes.
Can you give more detailed instructions on how to use VPN directly on the phone?
Hello @EvilBabayka,
Apologies for the delayed response. I wanted to take the time to consult with our engineering team before getting back to you.
After further investigation, it appears that the issue is related to the network restrictions imposed by either the mobile carrier or ISP on the device you’re using. Unfortunately, any traffic coming from the Proxidize Android Agent or from VPN connections on that device is being dropped at the source.
Because of this, the connection cannot be established reliably, and in some cases, it causes the app to crash or become unresponsive. This behavior seems to be specific to the phone you’re using and its current network environment.
We can’t say for certain whether this applies to all devices in Russia, but based on our findings in your case, the traffic is being blocked directly at the source. Unfortunately, these restrictions are implemented at the network level and are outside of our control
That said, the best alternative would be to host a mobile device outside of Russia and then connect to that proxy from your location.
I completely understand that this isn’t an ideal solution, and I sincerely appreciate your understanding. If you need any help setting up a device outside of Russia or have any questions about alternative options, please don’t hesitate to reach out, I’d be more than happy to assist further.
