What are 4G Mobile proxies, and why do I need them?
4G mobile proxies are proxy networks that utilize mobile IP addresses and cellular data generated from mobile carriers. They provide you with much higher reliability and consistency than regular residential or datacenter proxies due to their high-quality nature and CGNAT - that’s especially true when you create them yourself.
Why should I make 4G mobile proxies instead of buying them?
When building a 4G mobile proxy network with Proxidize, we cut the middleman, cut the costs, and give you the utmost control over your hardware and software. Having an on-premise mobile proxy solution provides you with more benefits than simply buying them from a proxy service since you’ll be getting higher quality proxies for much lower costs - especially in the long term.
Proxy sellers host the devices on your behalf and then end up charging you a premium price. With Proxidize, you no longer need to rely on third parties to configure the proxies for you, and best of all, you aren’t required to have any technical knowledge to build them yourself.
Can I use 4G mobile proxies for Instagram, sneaker botting, SEO, and more?
Yes, 4G mobile proxies have a wide range of use cases and can be applied for any purpose needed. They’re famous for web scraping, automation, social media management, and many other applications.

Can I use Proxidize from any country?
Yes, Proxidize kits can be hosted in any country around the world.
As a resident of X country, can I create proxies from Y country using Proxidize?
You can build your 4G mobile proxy in the country where you can host your hardware. If you want mobile proxies from the USA, then you’ll need to have your hardware hosted there. While acquiring a mobile IP address from a different country may be possible by getting a SIM card from that specific country, this method is not guaranteed.
Why do I need to connect my setup to a router?
We have multiple reasons for that, but it’s mainly because CGNAT can result in closed ports for devices with CGNAT-assigned IPs, and the proxy would have to consume twice the amount of data since both incoming and outgoing requests will pass through the SIM card connection. However, we do plan to eliminate the need for a router connection with Enterprise plans.
As to why the proxy would consume twice the data, it’s because when you send a request within a Proxidize network, it follows a path that looks like this:
Device > Router > Proxidize Server > Modem > Web
And the response would look like this:
Web > Modem > Server > Router > Device
With this method, two data packets, the request and response, will be sent to each, the modem and the router.
If there was no router connection, the path would look like this:
Device > Dongle > Proxidize Server > Dongle > Web
In this case, the same data packets pass four times through the modem, consuming twice the amount of data.
How many proxies can I create from a single modem?
You can create a limitless number of proxies from a single modem but will only get 1 IP address per modem. If you create two proxies, for instance, they both will share the same IP address. This feature is available with Proxidize’s NextGen Business and Enterprise plans.
How many threads do I get per modem/proxy?
There’s a limit of 200 threads per proxy, but Enterprise users can access infinite threads.
How often can I change the IP address?
The IP change can be changed every minute, but keep in mind that the proxy will be down for 5-30 seconds when the IP is changing.
Where does the Proxidize name come from?
The name Proxidize is a combination of two words, “Proxy” and “Oxidize.”
To avoid any confusion, our organization is not, and never was, called “Proxydize.”
Will all my USB modems have the same IP since they’re all connected to the same tower?
No, mobile carriers typically allocate IP addresses at a city or state level. Within each of these regions, the carrier has a pool of available IP addresses or subnets. When you connect your modem to a mobile network within a particular region, the carrier will randomly assign an IP address to your device from its available pool of IPs - meaning every time you connect or disconnect your device, you’re likely to get a different IP address, unless you request a static IP from your carrier.
This is an industry-standard practice to protect user privacy. If carriers were to assign specific IP addresses to specific cell towers, then it would make it easier for someone to find a user’s approximate location based on their IP address.
Is it safe to make purchases on your website?
