Error in Creating server

error appears right after confirming device name
to be precise - ‘Device Registration’ view.

steps:

  • open proxidize mobile app
  • enter the pin
  • type name, lets say: Device1
  • click ‘Submit’
    button changes to ‘Submitting’
and literally a few seconds later this error pops up while switching to next panel

The consequence of all of this is that when passing to the next view, there is an animation of the loading wheel “Creating Host” and it continues endlessly.

I already talked to support about it, i just put up the topic late because i had no time before.
I rule out a bug on the side of my device, I have a new pixel 8a, it is not bloated, other apps of this type work without problems.

Hi @verbrannt , one reason this error might be popping up for you is if you are trying to name the device using non-English characters. Try to name the device using only English characters and the error should not appear. We are aware of this situation and are working diligently on an update that will allow non-English characters to be used for device names. Please try this method out and if an error still occurs, you could come back to this thread and we can work to finding another solution.

Honestly speaking, I never use non-English names in this type of context.
It was the first thing I verified when I first encountered this error.
I’m currently trying to figure it out with @Sofia_A but I appreciate your engagement! Let me know if you got something, please.

There is a new version coming out very soon, please keep an eye on new updates to the app or try re installing it and check if it’s working for you then.

A friend told me about a github version which works better than the google play store version. Maybe it could be the reason?

Oh, wow. That was a precise blind shot @Erwann_Le_Pallec haha.

Ladies and gentlemen, I’ve got it! It turns out that if the previous open-source Proxidize…
(GitHub - GitHub - proxidize/proxidize-android: Proxidize Android is an Android application that allows anyone to create a 5G or 4G mobile proxy using their phone. Learn more about Proxidize on https://proxidize.com/)
…is installed on the phone alongside the new application from the Play Store, it indeed generates a ‘language’ error. I believe the content of this error caused the most confusion.

Nevertheless, I’m surprised because I did use techniques like clearing the entire app’s cache (so it definitely wasn’t accidentally running in the background) and shutting down the old app’s entire process - well, as I mentioned, the solution was a complete uninstall of the previous proxidize app.

I don’t want to treat this as a certainty just yet; perhaps the new Proxidize needs some optimization. However, I generally live in the city center, so depending on the network operator, my 5G speed sometimes reaches up to 500Mb/s. Meanwhile, the free Proxidize plan is limited to 5Mb/s (which is manageable, although I’m surprised it’s not even 10Mb/s).

But for me, it actually looks like this, which unfortunately rules out comfortable work:

as @Erwann_Le_Pallec mentioned - the paradox is that the old github application is more efficient at this point, and very importantly, even the generation of a link to change the IP has been excluded from the Trial plan, I think this should be changed, as it is a complete basis when working on any antidetect browser.

I don’t want this to come across as negative; I want to contribute to improving the app because the entire support team is so engaged and helpful that I would feel guilty writing any made-up BS right here. Thank you all for your dedication!

Thank you so much @verbrannt for your detailed description of the issue and valuable feedback! We appreciate your engagement very much and I promise you we will be working to take everything you mentioned into consideration.

There is currently another ongoing issue with a communication service used to communicate between the egress devices (phones) and the cloud services. We are working on this and expect it to be resolved by the end of the day today.

We will also be looking further into the language issue caused by having both the legacy and cloud apps installed together.

In the meantime, please don’t hesitate to submit any other feedback you might have. We strive to offer the best service possible and your feedback is massively helpful!

Unfortunately, on my side, this hasn’t resolved the issue. I’m still getting this error message.

Hello @Blazai , thank you for letting us know, do you mind providing us with a screenshot of the error you’re facing, and what kind of phone you’re currently using?
Can you please follow these steps to troubleshoot the issue?

  1. Go to the home screen of the phone.
  2. Press and hold the Proxidize Android Agent app until a list appears.
  3. Tap App info or the icon labeled “ⓘ”.
  4. Select Force Stop.
  5. Open the app again to reconnect.
