Connected but not for real

Hello Proxidize Community,

I’m experiencing an issue with the Proxidize app on my android phone. I’ve set up a proxy using my phone and all the initial steps appear to work correctly:

  • The app installation and setup completed successfully
  • VPN activation works without errors
  • I can connect to the proxy
  • Online proxy tests show the proxy as functioning

However, I’m unable to actually browse or navigate the internet through the proxy. It’s similar to having no internet connection on my phone - requests simply don’t go through, and no data is transferred.

I’ve verified that my phone has an active internet connection as I can browse normally when not using the proxy. The issue only occurs when attempting to use Proxidize.

Has anyone encountered a similar issue or can suggest troubleshooting steps?

Can you reconnect the app and enable account assumption using the link provided below so we can proceed with testing this issue since we are unable to detect it from our end?

Hello @Giuseppe , thank you for getting back to me, do you mind following these steps please?

  1. Go to the home screen of your phone.

  2. Press and hold the “Proxidize Android Agent” app until a list of options appears.

  3. Tap on “App Info” or the “ⓘ” icon.

  4. Select “Force Stop” to stop the app.

  5. Reopen the app to reconnect.

Please let us know if this manages to fix the issue.
