Accounts per proxies

Hey everyone, so I’m a bit new to proxies and I’m trying to learn as much as I can. I want to get into scraping and using proxies for social media, I was wondering if anyone can tell me a bit about the whole proxies per account thing. I’ve been hearing that term a lot and I assume its like… assigning proxies to accounts. How many proxies do you guys use for each account? Online is all over the place I’ve seen a 1:1 or five accounts to a proxy, was hoping to get a more definitive answer to it all. Any help would be highly appreciated.

It really depends on a lot of factors. But assuming you have perfect automation, that’s impossible to detect and leaves zero footprints, you would only need 1 proxy for any account you want to run at a time.

You can actually access and manage hundreds of accounts on a single proxy, but they must only be accessed one at a time, and you need to change the IP after every account switch. Of course, this is easier said than done, and I’ve never seen a piece of software that can implement it correctly.

So the number of accounts you can run per proxy is technically the number of accounts you want to be running/accessing in parallel at the same time. If you can schedule your actions/processes to run sequentially on each account, then the only limit is the amount of time it takes to run each action and switch the account.

Also, you can run multiple accounts per proxy at the same time, depending on your risk tolerance, as the mobile IPs are all shared with normal users due to CGNAT. There’s nothing stopping you from running up to a dozen or so accounts, but this would heavily depend on the detectability and/or footprints of your software.

I like to keep it simple, just one proxy per account. Helps to avoid bans and works like a charm, for me at least.

I deal with instagram accounts and I have about 15 or so. I like to stay within the 2:1 account-to-proxy ratio. Having them be rotating proxies is a huge help as well when it comes to avoiding blocks. Highly recommend this setup if you’re dealing with instagram accounts.

I handle well over 20 e-comm accounts and have dedicated proxies for each one. Sure its pricey but it is so worth it.
